1. About TAP

TAP is tournament management software ("the Service") that lets you create, manage, and score tournaments. These terms ("Terms") govern your use of the Service. By creating an account or using TAP, you agree to these Terms.

2. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration.

If you are under 16, a parent or guardian has to agree before you create an account, and the registration form asks you to confirm that they do. The form asks for your date of birth; we use it only to work out whether you have turned 16. Until you turn 16, the settings that would publish something about you stay off and cannot be switched on: no public profile, your email address is not shown to organisers, no linked game accounts, and your results are not shared with the people who follow you. Everything you need to play works without them.

You may not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorised purpose. You must not violate any laws in your jurisdiction.

3. Tournaments and content

As a tournament organiser, you are responsible for the content you create, including tournament names, descriptions, logos, and any data you enter. You retain ownership of your content; by using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to host and display it as needed to operate the Service.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of others.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm other people
• Upload malicious code, attempts to compromise the Service, or circumvent access controls
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
• Use the Service to distribute spam or unsolicited communications

5. Cost

TAP is currently free to use in full. There is no paid plan, no billing, and no feature locked behind a payment. We are building the platform and its community first.

Should we introduce paid plans later, we will announce it in advance and no charge will ever be applied without your explicit agreement. Nothing you have already created will be taken away or locked because a paid tier appears.

6. Service availability

We strive to keep TAP available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or emergencies. The Service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TAP and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Statutory liability — in particular for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body or health — remains unaffected.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service stops immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (see our Privacy Policy).

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Germany.
